About Us Print this page
Welcome to the Caney Volunteer Fire Department web site. We have been serving our community since 1989. We provide fire and rescue services for 97 square miles of southern Atoka County, located in Southeastern Oklahoma. We operate 2 Engines, 2 Brush Trucks, 1 Tanker, 1 EMR Vehicle and a Command Unit. Over the past 20 plus years we have responded to just about every type of incident you could imagine, from tornados and plane crashes to accidents, fires and the complete evacuation of the town due to a train derailment and haz-mat spill. We have spent an uncountable number of hours battling Oklahoma's many wild fire seasons. We continue to train at every opertunity to be prepare for the next unexpected call.
